Geoffrey
Coles
Geoffrey's
rare tenor voice with it's own particular natural beauty has been
attracting attention since the early age of seven, when he won
his first local festival. He studied with David Lennox, principal
tenor at Covent Garden, extending his repertoire from English
song to the demands of the Operatic Stage. He has delighted audiences
throughout the country and as far a field as the U.S.A.
He has sung most of the tenor roles in the Gilbert & Sullivan
operettas, and other notable roles include Camille in the Merry
Widow, Rikard in The Song of Norway, Hoffman in Tales of Hoffman
and Alfredo in Verdi's La Traviata.
He has enjoyed several summer seasons at various theatres up and
down the British Isles and worked on the cruise ships from time
to time.
He has broadcast for the BBC frequently, and has recorded six
albums to date. He was a guest on The Barrymore Show with the
Three British Tenors, with whom he toured extensively.
He is currently enjoying singing with Jim and Morgan in the highly
successful Tenorissimo show, and if the audience reaction is anything
to go by, it will be for some time to come.
